Responsibilities:
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers and vendors on a daily basis, checking all applicable documentation is in place and fully compliant for Import.
- Anticipate, identify and resolve problems that could delay the release or movement of shipments ensuring Government/Customs compliance is adhered to for all markets
- Provide Import Clearance Instructions to Carriers
- Check and maintain Customs duty values within internal software
- Utilize Carrier exception reporting to facilitate both stock and customer deliveries
- Process RTV shipments through carrier software
- Check accuracy of carrier invoices
- Measure and report KPI data
- Administer Monthly Government Intrastat Reporting
- Preparation of information and reporting for Trade and Transport management
- Ensure good inter and intra team communication
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of International Customs laws/regulations and export compliance policies, documentation and processes.
- Understanding of AIR Export documentation and procedures
- Candidates must have prior or current working experience in a similar capacity
- High level of patience and positive character is highly essential
- A strong organiser, efficient worker who is detail orientated and methodical
- Ability to identify problems, demonstrate use of initiative and implement appropriate solutions
- Ability to multi task and prioritise heavy workload
- Flexible and able to work occasional additional hours
- Excellent computer skills, essentially Excel (VLookUp, Pivot Table), Carrier software
- Previous experience working in textile/garment/FMCG related industry is a strong plus
- Confident, keen and willing
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload
- High focus on customer service
- Good communication skills with English
- Excellent team working skills
