Head of Infrastructure, Information Technology

Responsibilities:

 

  • Overall responsibility for the Infrastructure team
  • Coach, develop and supervise the Infrastructure team
  • Responsible for the operation and support of the bank’s IT infrastructure : including data centers operations, server and network management, desktops, and security administration of access control
  • Managed Secondment service delivery for data centre operations, infrastructure support and  desktop support services to the bank’s satisfaction
  • Focus on the quality of service delivery including up-time, support responsiveness, and appropriateness of solution to problems
  • Direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Monitor the performance  through defined metrics and SLA reports
  • Validate technical solution proposed by project teams/vendors and make appropriate recommendations to management
  • Cooperate with outside consultants as appropriate for independent security audits
  • Ensure the establishment, update and testing of disaster recovery procedures and plans
  • Keep abreast of technology developments and capabilities and proactively make recommendations where necessary

 


Requirements:

 

  • University Degree in IT or IT related discipline
  • At least 12 years working experience in IT service management preferably in banking industry
  • Good understanding and technical knowledge of current IT infrastructure technologies and how they interact with business operations
  • Experience in supervising technical staff in IT infrastructure and data centre operations support
  • Familiar with best practices in IT service management (e.g. ITIL)
  • Experience in IT outsourcing and vendor  management
  • Able to create a positive and professional business relationship with internal and external clients
  • Self motivated, able to meet tight deadlines and make decisions independently
  • Able to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff (including senior management)
  • Good command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese and fluent Mandarin is a must
